Amid nationwide rise in anti-LGBTQ legislation on the state level, GLAAD and Equality Florida release guide for reporting on LGBTQ issues in Florida

New York, NY – GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization, today released Southern Stories: A Guide for Reporting on LGBTQ People in Florida in English and Spanish. This media guide will serve as a resource for journalists and media organizations both in Florida and nationally when reporting on the LGBTQ community.

GLAAD set to return to Nashville in partnership with Ty Herndon and CMT for second Concert for Love and Acceptance

NEW YORK, Thursday, May 11 – GLAAD, the world’s LGBTQ media advocacy organization, today announced its participation in the 2017 Concert for Love and Acceptance on June 8 at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. The show champions LGBTQ rights and will benefit at-risk youth. Ty Herndon and CMT’s Cody Alan will host, and the event will feature Billy Gilman, Dana Goldberg, Kree Harrison, Lorrie Morgan, Michael Ray, Mickey Guyton, Runaway June, Ryan Kinder, Street Corner Symphony, Thompson Square, and Trent Harmon.
