NEW YORK, NY - As news outlets across the globe prepare to report on the Pope's upcoming visit to the United States, GLAAD, the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, and DignityUSA, the nation's foremost organization for LGBT Catholics and their supporters, today called on Pope Francis to meet with Catholic LGBT families during his September 2015 visit to the United States.
GLAAD, the nation's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, today responded to the United States Supreme Court's historic ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges. In a 5 to 4 ruling, the Court determined that the Constitution guarantees every American the right to marry the person they love.

NASHVILLE – Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning artist Ty Herndon and GLAAD today announced the addition of Chris Carmack, star of the hit ABC television series "Nashville," to the lineup of the inaugural Concert for Love and Acceptance. The event, presented by GLAAD and Herndon, will feature artists and celebrities in a coalition of support for LGBT acceptance and will take place at City Winery (609 Lafayette St.) in Nashville, Tenn. on June 12, 2015.
