Andy Biggs

U.S. Representative from Arizona

Tweeted support for the suspended Babylon Bee twitter account's misgendering of four star admiral Rachel Levine who is United States assistant secretary for health. He misgendered Levine in his own tweet as well.

Led efforts to fraudulently overturn the 2020 presidential election, leading up to the deadly siege at the U.S. Capitol. Reports say Biggs helped organize the rally that led to the siege, while he lied and accused, without evidence, that antifa were partly to blame for the riot.

Voted against the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) in 2020 because it included provisions for domestic partnerships and same-sex relationships. “They've redefined family for the first time in a piece of federal legislation to include committed relationships,” Biggs falsely claimed—the same language has been included in proposed legislation as far back as 2015.

Called the Obergefell v. Hodges decision an attempt to “redefine marriage” and “an affront to the millions of Americans who believe marriage is between a man and a woman.”

Was a policy advisor to United Families International, identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an anti-LGBTQ hate group that opposes marriage equality.

The GLAAD Accountability Project catalogs anti-LGBTQ rhetoric and discriminatory actions of politicians, commentators, organization heads, religious leaders, and legal figures, who have used their platforms, influence and power to spread misinformation and harm LGBTQ people.
