Now, James is a vocal advocate for the LGBT community who is passionately committed to an array of issues that people face, and has captured his experiences in the memoir, “Out in the Army: my Life as a Gay Soldier,” which was recently released to US readers.

Dakota Basinger is a 21-year-old man who was recently diagnosed with HIV. Last week, in the middle of his team’s playoff basket ball game, he was removed from the game by a referee who told him he would no longer be able to play for the league because he was HIV positive.
