This commercial portrays a biracial gay couple discussing (in stilted conversation) whom they should support among two gay-friendly candidates in the race for San Francisco Mayor. It is somewhat remarkable, ironically, for its banality despite showing a gay couple at home.

The ad represents a lesbian & gay democratic club that supported standing Mayor Willie Brown, who is gay friendly and black, instead of his openly gay and white competitor, Tom Ammiano, who was not elected.
