VIDEO: Ty Herndon talks Concert for Love & Acceptance in Nashville

On June 12, 2015, artists and celebrities from across the country will come together to support LGBT acceptance at the inaugural Concert for Love and Acceptance, presented by Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning artist Ty Herndon and GLAAD, at City Winery (609 Lafayette St.) in Nashville, Tenn.

In this interview, Herndon talks openly about coming out last November, and his excitement to host The Concert for Love & Acceptance. Herndon, who is originally from Meridian, Mississippi, talked candidly about why he feels it's important to have a concert in the South during CMA Fest that's focused on LGBT acceptance.

The Concert for Love and Acceptance will kick off GLAAD's six-state Southern Stories bus tour as we hit the road and travel across the Deep South sharing stories of LGBT Southerners, allies, and advocates. Get your tickets to see her at the Concert for Love and Acceptance and find out more about GLAAD's Southern Stories Summer Tour and get the schedule at glaad.org/summertour.
