All Access: Matthew Warchus, director of Pride, talks Golden Globe-nominated film


GLAAD's video series, GLAAD: All Access, features interviews with newsmakers, hit-makers, and people making a difference. This week, host Claire Pires sat down with Matthew Warchus, the director of Pride, to talk about the Golden Globe-nominated film. Pride is based on the true story of a group of LGBT advocates from the United Kingdom who work to help miners during their lengthy strike of the National Union of Mineworkers in the summer of 1984. The film was nominated in the "Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy" category for the 2015 Golden Globes Awards. The characters of the group Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) even made our list of the most intriguing LGBT characters of the year 2014.

Today, December 23, the film came out on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as digital services including Amazon Instant Video and iTunes. Watch GLAAD's interview here:
