TheRoot.com, one of the most widely read and influencial Black news sites, has just published their list of the 100 most influential African Americans. Among the esteemed group of Black LGBT leaders are Laverne Cox, Janet Mock, Rashad Robinson, and Yoruba Richen.

The Root's 2013 list of top black influencers "The Root 100" features trans advocate Dr. Kortney Ryan Ziegler, out actor Billy Porter and advocates Danielle Moodie-Mills and former GLAAD staff member Rashad Robinson

The Root, the "premiere news, opinion and culture site for African-American influencers," today released their annual ranking "The Root 100" honoring the most influential black leaders in 2013. This year's list includes trans advocate, writer and filmmaker Dr. Kortney Ryan Ziegler, out Broadway star Billy Porter and LGBT advocates Danielle Moodie-Mills and former GLAAD staff member Rashad Robinson.
