Twitter reacts to Michael Sam being drafted by the St. Louis Rams

NFL player and University of Missouri alum Michael Sam was drafted by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday, making him the first openly gay player to be drafted by the NFL.

American Family Association equates Michael Sam with brain concussion

The American Family Association's senior issue analyst, Bryan Fischer, thinks NFL draftee Michael Sam, by simple virtue of being a gay man, is "the sexual equivalent of a brain concussion." And according to the AFA's top staffer, the NFL should be forcing Sam into scientifically-shunned "reparative therapy."

Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones has been fined an undisclosed amount and temporarily excused from all team activities after he tweeted "OMG" and "Horrible" in response to the draft of openly gay player Michael Sam.
