Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o presented the award for Outstanding Documentary to Shane Bitney Crone, the subject and producer of "Bridegroom," and the film's director Linda Bloodworth-Thomason at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday.

"Bridegroom" documentary comes to DVD 11/19

The story of Shane Crone and Tom Bridegroom, first told via viral video, has been made into the full-length documentary "Bridegroom." The film is available for streaming on Netflix now, and available for purchase starting November 19.

'Bridegroom' Receives Audience Award at the Tribeca Film Festival

Last week marked the festival premiere of Bridegroom, the long-awaited documentary recounting the love story of Shane Bitney Crone and his partner Tom Bridegroom. Former President Bill Clinton introduced the film at the premiere and, this past weekend, the documentary ended its Tribeca run by receiving the Heineken Audience Award.

Creator of Heartbreaking Viral Video Close to Funding Film

Shane Bitney Crone of the "It Could Happen To You" video is teaming up Linda Bloodworth-Thomason and Linda Burstyn to make a documentary about his partner's tragic death and the discrimination he's faced since, and they need to raise another $12,000 in order for the movie to be made.
