Today, USA Today published an op-ed by Attorney General Eric Holder, noting that the Department of Justice will be filing a brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, opposing statewide bans on marriage equality as a violation of equal protection.

Justice Department moves to protect transgender employees

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced today that the Justice Department will now consider transgender workers as protected by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 under Title VII.
