At the Five Points MARTA train station in downtown Atlanta, two transgender women of color were verbally harassed and physically attacked by several men.

Earlier this week, a transgender woman of color was found stabbed to death in her home in New Jersey, as reported by Monica Roberts and others. Eyricka Morgan, who was 26 years old, was a former student at Rutgers University and involved with the New Jersey Community Research Initiative.

This past weekend, GLAAD learned that local Philadelphia media sensationalized and inaccurately reported on the murder of a trans woman of color, using the wrong name and pronouns and including irrelevant information about her past.
