Head of NC's anti-marriage equality campaign: Gay people 'defying what they were created to be'

Tami Fitzgerald served as the head and chief mastermind of Amendment One, the campaign that placed a discriminatory marriage amendment into the Tar Heel State's constitution. While she masked the true animus that drove her to that line of work back when the bright lights of the campaign were on her, Ms. Fitzgerald is now coming out and admitting that hers is a cause that goes well beyond marriage and instead apples directly to LGBT people themselves.

UCC denomination sues North Carolina for violating religious freedom, urges marriage equality in landmark case

The United Church of Christ (UCC) made history this morning by becoming the first major Christian denomination to file a lawsuit against a state government. The UCC General Synod has asserted that North Carolina's ban on marriage equality is a violation of UCC clergy's free exercise of religion under the First Amendment.

Faithful Voices Oppose and Discredit North Carolina 'Electric Fence' Pastor's Harmful Words

Earlier this week, a video featuring Providence Road Baptist Church Pastor Charles Worley went viral much to the chagrin of LGBT and affirming faith leaders. Rev. Worley has no visible support from those outside of his congregation. His sermon elicited strong words of condemnation from neighboring pastors. Others have been moved to action.
