Matthew Zaccagni, Senior Major Gifts Officer

 

Matthew Zaccagni (he/him/his) joined GLAAD’s Development team in June 2020 as the Senior Major Gifts Officer. In his role, Matthew oversees a national portfolio of LGBTQ and allied donors, while working closely with GLAAD’s corporate and events team to create a holistic donor experience. Prior to joining GLAAD, Matthew served as a senior member of Lambda Legal’s major gifts team, working with donors and managing events in the Northeast. He also oversaw the expansion of Lambda’s Young Leadership Council. From 2011 to 2016, Matthew worked as an Account Manager for Eidolon Communications, a direct response fundraising and member communications consulting firm specializing in non-profit, advocacy, and political clients.

Matthew is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), where he co-founded the New York City Chapter’s Emerging Leaders Committee and severed as a track co-chair for AFP’s Fundraising Day in New York for several years. Matthew's passion for equality, advocacy, and civic engagement run deep. Matthew contributed to launching the Philadelphia Youth Commission over a decade ago -- the group, which is still active today, is dedicated to advising the city’s leadership on legislation and policy affecting young people. Matthew holds a B.A. in Communication and Political Science from La Salle University. He and his pup, Mini, currently reside in Manhattan.
