Mathew Lasky is the Director of Communications at GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization. In his role, Mathew oversees communications for GLAAD, the GLAAD Media Awards, GLAAD Media Institute, and the communications strategy for GLAAD’s day-to-day work to accelerate LGBTQ acceptance.

Before coming to GLAAD, Mathew was the Manager of Social Impact at MTV, VH1, and Logo, the U.S.’s leading LGBTQ entertainment brand. In this role, Mathew guided the strategy and execution of major “pro-social” campaigns across each network with the aim of connecting the audience with issues they care about, and ways to get involved and take action.

Prior to joining MTV, VH1, and Logo, Mathew was a communications consultant for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Maputo, Mozambique, focused on LGBTQ rights and stigma reduction surrounding those living with HIV/AIDS.
