John McCourt, Deputy Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

As Deputy Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, John leads GLAAD's efforts to expand the presence of the organization and help accelerate acceptance for LGBTQ people through business development partnerships with LGBTQ inclusive and socially responsible organizations and corporations. This includes, creating a unified and seamless experience for partners to interact with GLAAD and our work, guiding the long-term marketing objectives of the organization, and working with department leads to foster collaboration and drive effective campaigns.

Before joining GLAAD in 2017, John served as Director of Integrated Marketing at Pride Media (previously Here Media), parent company to popular LGBTQ media brands including OUT, The Advocate, and Here TV. In this role, he ideated, created and implemented high-impact marketing campaigns, leveraging print & tablet, digital, event, social media, mobile, and video platforms for brands such as American Express, MasterCard, MillerCoors, Target, Tiffany & Co., Wells Fargo and more. He has a M.S. in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from New York University and currently resides in New York, NY.
