GLAAD operates with support from foundations, corporations and individuals from every corner of the United States. Our highly skilled team of more than 50 staff work out of our Headquarters in New York and an office in Los Angeles, and support our expanded reach through multiple chapters across the country. Over the past several years, GLAAD has achieved rapid and significant growth and currently has an annual operating budget of approximately $12 million.


The Opportunity

GLAAD is seeking a Database Manager to work with our Development team. As a member of GLAAD’s Development team, the Database Manager will actively participate in supporting GLAAD’s overall fundraising efforts. The Database Manager will report directly to the Associate Director of Donor Services and will manage multiple projects, including regular, recurring gift reporting, maintenance of constituent records in the donor database, additional donor-related requests, and reconciliation assistance.  This position is based in GLAAD’s New York office.

Key Responsibilities

  •     Monthly Reporting
  •     Recap detailing all gifts for previous month, including year-on-year comparison to date
  •     Monthly renewals report
  •     Weekly Reporting
  •     Recurring report capturing all gifts to date for fiscal year, including year-on-year comparison to date
  •     Run set queries for weekly, monthly and fiscal year Major Donor gifts
  •     Daily gift report capturing all of previous day’s gifts
  •     Generate Major Donor acknowledgement letters on a weekly basis
  •     Database maintenance, database integrity
  •     Gift entry
  •     Update constituent records in Raiser’s Edge
  •     Research on existing donors
  •     Report reconciliation
  •     Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate should possess the following experience, competencies and personal qualities:

Experience | Education:

  •     Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required   
  •     3 – 5 years in a similar role   
  •     Strong MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint skills   
  •     Highly experienced in Raiser’s Edge and NationBuilder; additional knowledge of other fundraising databases a plus
