Opposes marriage equality: “Rep. Lummis personally believes that marriage is between one man and one woman. The Congressman also holds that this is an issue that should be left to the states under the Constitution and she is disappointed in the Supreme Court’s refusal to review the arguments regarding state control of marriage.”

Sponsored a bill that would allow parents who oppose federal support for transgender students to access vouchers for private or homeschooling.

Cosponsored so-called Marriage and Religious Freedom Act, which allows nonprofits to discriminate against LGBTQ people without losing nonprofit status.

Cosponsored State Marriage Defense Act, which would allow states to sidestep federal recognition of marriage equality.

Voted against repeal of the military’s discriminatory “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
