—As Trump’s Secretary of the Department of Labor, Acosta deleted web pages on the site of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), which oversees all federal employees, that outlined Obama-era protections for transgender people in the workforce. 

—Under Acosta’s leadership, the Department of Labor issued guidance that allows federal contractors to discriminate against LGBTQ employees on religious grounds.

Served on an Awards Committee at the viciously anti-LGBT Family Research Council, who referred to him as one of “the nation’s leading pro-family legal scholars.” This committee gave the Vermont Supreme Court the “In Contempt Award” for its ruling in favor of same-sex civil unions.

Founded “Project on the Judiciary,” a deeply conservative organization that found “judicial activism” on matters like LGBT rights.

Defended the Boy Scouts of America’s use of public spaces while the organizations as still discriminating against LGBT people.
