Clare Kenny, Director of Youth Engagement

Clare Kenny serves as GLAAD’s Director of Youth Engagement. In her first four years at GLAAD, Kenny launched and continues to oversee GLAAD’s Campus Ambassador Program, Rising Stars Grant Program, and digital storytelling platform ‘Amp.’ Her work has appeared on CBS, HuffPost, Elite Daily, and more.

Kenny graduated with an Honors B.A. in Gender Studies from Skidmore College in 2015. At Skidmore, Clare co-founded and launched Show Your Sport, a student-athlete activism program designed to create awareness, increase education, and enhance visibility for social issues through student-athlete led activism. She was also awarded an Honors Thesis and nominated for the Beverly Field Women’s Studies Award for her work, “LAG-ing Behind: Miss Porter’s Girls’ Experiences with Sexuality Expression, Lesbian Stigma, and Identity Development.”
