Hot summer in the city: A few Latinx happenings

Wildly creative and queer musician Flor Amargo will be at the Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park on July 30, presented by La Banda Elástica, a Latin youth culture web destinaton. Known for her high-energy and playful public performances and featured on the soundtrack of "La Casa de las Flores," she is one of several musicians giving concerts at Levitt LA, which are free to the public, but you do have to sign up. And, of course, mask up!

GLAAD and The Black List announce call for submissions for The 2021 GLAAD List

GLAAD and The Black List have announced plans for the third edition of GLAAD List, with a call for submissions for LGBTQ+-inclusive scripts. Filmmakers and content creators are invited to submit a film or pilot script for consideration by uploading it to The Black List website during the months of July, August, and September 2021.
