Not too long ago GLAAD blog readers were introduced to Hello Forever, a film starring transgender model and actress Isis King about Filipina women trying to overcome obstacles and find a way out of poverty. The filmmakers took to Kickstater in hopes to raise funds to cover post-production costs and festival submission fees. With your help they met their goal, and Isis shared her excitement on Twitter.
Thanks @Glaad for supporting my film @Hello_Forever with your article. It contributed to us achieve our Kick Starter goal!

In Hello Forever award-winning director Peter Kirk tackles the subjects of poverty, corruption and single motherhood and shines a light on human trafficking and sexual exploitation by following four women affected by it. In the film Isis, who was the first transgender woman to appear on The CW's America's Next Top Model, plays Rommy, a transgender Filipina woman.
