Sean is given an inappropriate gift by Max while Liz and Lorna argue over who should be Ellie's new maternal figure.

The hospital throws a fundraising event which Jackson attempts to turn into a competition among the board members. Meanwhile, interns Shane and Stephanie try to run the ER on their own, Alex shows Jo his more vulnerable side and Bailey is fed up with treating demanding patients.
