WATCH: Wells Fargo ad shows lesbian couple learning sign language to prepare for new child

A new ad from Wells Fargo features a real-life same-sex couple preparing to meet their new adopted child. The video begins with the women learning to sign separately, and leads up to a moment when they meet a girl they plan to adopt. One of the women then says, "We're going to be your new mommies."

The ad, which begins airing today, ends with a voice saying, "Everyone works hard for a reason. Working together, we can help you prepare financially for when two becomes three." The tagline for the ad is, "Together we'll go far."

According to Ad Week, the ad is the first of nine to be released since BBDO became lead creative agency last spring.

This isn't the first time Wells Fargo has taken a stand for the LGBT community. The company has celebrated Pride for many years in the past, stood up for the trans community, and sponsored the GLAAD Media Awards.

“Wells Fargo is proud of this work, and proud to reflect the diversity of our customers in our marketing efforts.  We have a long history of addressing the financial needs of our LGBT customers and this ad continues that legacy.” John Lake, VP/LGBT Segment Manager told GLAAD.
