WATCH: Chobani debuts new inclusive TV commercial

Yesterday morning, Chobani debuted a new advertisement featuring a lesbian couple.

Chobani's ad is the final installment of the "Love This Life Campaign." The campaign debuted in May with the intention to showcase real, authentic moments occurring in modern America. Other videos feature a family with a mom, a dad, and two kids. But with this video, Chobani features diverse American stories that are often overlooked.

"We've been an inclusive brand from the beginning and equal rights has been fundamental and foundational for this brand," said Peter McGuinness, chief marketing and brand officer of Chobani. "The founding mission of Chobani was better food for more people. Good food shouldn't be a privilege, it should be a right, and we want to make it available to all."

This isn't the first time Chobani has voiced support for the LGBT community. During the 2014 Olympics, the company tweeted a rainbow-colored stack of yogurts with the caption "Naturally Powering Everyone." As an official sponsor of the U.S. Olympic team, the CEO of Chobani also spoke out against the anti-gay laws in Russia, stressing their belief in diversity and inclusion.

In a recent article in Advertising Age, GLAAD's Director of Communications Seth Adam spoke about how important it is for brands to make a statement of LGBT support and acceptance.

"More and more companies are beginning to realize that supporting equality doesn't stop at having inclusive workplace polices. Supporting equality also means being inclusive in your advertising and marketing and your outreach to your community and customers," Mr. Adam said. "I think that's what you're seeing here is Chobani taking that next step and saying 'We support acceptance and equality and this is what that looks like.'"

Be sure to watch Chobani's video, which is posted below, and check out Chobani's website, as they will be posting additional LGBT-inclusive content in support of Pride and the pending Supreme Court decision on marriage equality.
