'Supernova,' an LGBTQ love story for the ages, opens today in theaters

Supernova, an LGBTQ love story for the ages starring Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci, opens today in theaters. (where theaters are open)

In Supernova, Sam (Academy Award winner Firth) and Tusker (Academy Award nominee Tucci), partners of twenty years, are traveling across England in their old camper van visiting friends, family and places from their past. Following a life-changing diagnosis, their time together has become more important than ever until secret plans test their love like never before.

GLAAD's Head of Talent, Anthony Ramos, co-hosted the film's premiere earlier this week and spoke with Tucci, Firth, and director Harry Macqueen about their latest collaboration. In the film, Tucci and Firth play partners who are dealing with one of them being diagnosed with early-onset dementia.
