Purple's never looked so gorgeous! Gigi Gorgeous celebrates #SpiritDay

Digital influencer, model, and advocate Gigi Gorgeous went with GLAAD to take a stand against LGBTQ+ bullying! The transgender YouTube star, subject of the 2017 documentary "This Is Everything" and recent social correspondent for MTV's Total Request Live revival, took the pledge and encouraged others to do so as well during her takeover of GLAAD's Instagram story yesterday:

In addition to yesterday's Instagram takeover, Gigi went full-on purple across social media platforms today to show her support for LGBTQ+ youth, who disproportionately face harrasment and bullying in their daily lives, simply for being who they are.

HAPPY SPIRIT DAY

Gigi also kicked of Spirit Day by attending Justin Tranter and GLAAD's "Believe" concert in Los Angeles the night before the world's largest anti-bullying campaign launched this year:

We're so glad to have this proud advocate showing her support for Spirit Day and LGBTQ young people everywhere!

About Spirit Day

Each year, millions go purple for GLAAD’s Spirit Day to support LGBTQ youth in a united stand against bullying. Started in 2010 by high school student Brittany McMillan in response to numerous young LGBTQ lives lost to suicide, Spirit Day now draws the participation of celebrities, schools, faith institutions, national landmarks, corporations, media outlets, sports leagues, and advocates around the world, all joining together to stand against bullying and support LGBTQ youth.

As anti-LGBTQ policies, hate crimes, and harassment are on the rise, it is now especially important to let all marginalized youth know they are supported.

This year, Spirit Day is on October 19, 2017. Take the Spirit Day pledge to show LGBTQ youth you've got their backs at glaad.org/spiritday. Follow @GLAAD on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr to keep up to date with #SpiritDay news.
