PHOTOS: GLAAD hosts 4th annual New Media Training Institute at Creating Change #CC13 #NMTI

GLAAD brought together organizations, individuals, bloggers, advocates, and media at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's 2013 Creating Change conference for GLAAD's 4th annual New Media Training Institute (NMTI).

Over 125 participants attended the day-long institute held Thursday, January 24th, 2013, in Atlanta, Georgia. Sessions at the institute included Best of 2012: New Media Campaigns and Strategies That Rocked; Make It Work: Turning Your Organization into a Social Media Success Story; Organizations Making an Impact with New Media; Re/Blogging for Social Change: Blogging, Tumblr and Activism, and featured advocates, bloggers and others who are making waves in social media.

Presenters represented included Jesse Begenyi from the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition and I AM: Trans People Speak; Sean Carlson of the Family Equality Council; Michael Crawford from Freedom to Marry; Ryan Davis, Blue State Digital; Zack Ford, who writes for ThinkProgress LGBT at the Center for American Progress Action Fund; Reina Gossett of the Sylvia Rivera Law Project; Good As You’s Jeremy Hooper; Sarah Kennedy from Civitas Public Affairs Group LLC; All Out’s Joe Mirabella; GLAAD's Allison Palmer; Phoenix Schneider from The Trevor Project; Jenn Sturm of the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice; Ngoc Loan Tran from; and Vincent Paolo Villano from the National Center for Transgender Equality.
