Out country superstar Ty Herndon announces new album due out 11/11

Today, Grammy Award nominated and Dove Award winning artist Ty Herndon announced a new full-length album, "House on Fire" - due out November 11, 2016 - marking his first new release since publicly coming out as gay in the pages of People magazine in November 2014.

"I am super blessed and happy to announce the arrival of the anticipated new album #Houseonfire. This album has been 18 months in the making. I am super proud of it," said Herndon in a post on his Facebook page Monday morning.

Herndon is recognized as one of country music’s most distinctive artists.  He burst onto the scene with his first single, "What Mattered Most," which hit number one in the spring of 1995. Since then he has amassed a pair of Gold albums and 15 Top 40 singles.

Last summer Herndon and GLAAD co-presented the Concert for Love and Acceptance, the first LGBT-affirming concert to be held during CMA Fest, which draws more than 250,000 music fans to Nashville each year. The concert featured performances by Herndon, country music legend Crystal Gayle, newcomer Levi Hummon, and a host of others and served as a kick-off to GLAAD's Southern Stories Summer Tour.

The new album, "House on Fire," will be available for pre-order on October 14 on Amazon and iTunes.
