The first trailer for the new Netflix sci-fi series Sense8 was released today, which was co-created by directors Lana and Andy Wachowski. The globe-spanning story follows eight strangers who learn they have a mysterious connection that allows them to access each others' experiences and emotions. Among them is Nomi, a San Francisco based blogger/hacker played by actress Jamie Clayton, and Lito, a closeted telenovela star in Mexico City played by actor Miguel Angel Silvestre. Nomi is also a trans woman, as is Clayton, who lives with her girlfriend, Amanita, played by actress Freema Agyeman.

The series premieres on June 5th, and you can watch the first trailer below.
