As we continue to celebrate Pride Month, it is important acknowledge the history of the LGBTQ people who came before us. This Pride Month is extra special because it marks 50 years since the uprising at the Stonewall Inn, which occured in 1969. In honor of this event, NBC Out and Nightly Films has produced a four-part documentary celebrating the LGBTQ community. The documentary explores the past, present and future of the LGBTQ rights movement. By highlighting one of the most important events in LGBTQ history, we are able to remember the struggles that LGBTQ people have faced as well as the progress that's been made in the past 50 years.
