Must-See LGBTQ TV: Second and final season of 'Special' and the MTV Movie and TV Awards

The 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards will air this Sunday and Monday for scripted and unscripted categories, respectively. Among the LGBTQ inclusive nominees are The Boys in Best Show and Best Fight, Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer in Best Kiss for their kiss in Killing Eve. In unscripted categories RuPaul’s Drag Race has the most nominations at four, and other inclusive nominees include Legendary, Queer Eye, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards: Sunday and Monday, 9pm on MTV.

Season two of groundbreaking comedy Special will be released on Netflix on Thursday. From out creator and star Ryan O’Connell, the show explores the life of a gay man living with cerebral palsy. Now semi-estranged from his mother, Ryan continues exploring the world on his own, with all the complex ups and downs life and love have to offer. Special: Thursday, on Netflix.
