Must-See LGBTQ TV: The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, season four of 'Transparent,' and more!

On Sunday, CBS will air the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by Stephen Colbert. LGBTQ Nominees include Lily Tomlin (who is also a presenter), Evan Rachel Wood, Samira Wiley, Kate McKinnon, Titus Burgess, Lena Waithe, Jamie Babbit, and Ryan Murphy. Master of None, Modern Family, and The Handmaid's Tale were all among the LGBTQ-inclusive nominated shows. Ahead of the premiere of the anticipated new season of Will & Grace, The Paley center is airing a special honoring the show and its impact, which include clips from the show as well as new interviews with Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullaly. The new season of Will & Grace will premiere on Thursday, September 28th, with all of the old favorites back again. The Paley Center Salutes the Best of Will & Grace: Tuesday, 10pm on NBC.

The fourth season of Emmy and GLAAD Media Award-winning dramedy Transparent will be released on Friday. The show continues to follow the highs and lows of the Pfefferman family, this time all the way to Israel. This season includes more developments with Maura's (Jeffrey Tambor) love life and finally gives us a backstory for the character of Davina (Alexandra Billings). Transparent continues to stand out by not only including trans characters, but having trans writers, directors, and crew involved in telling their stories. Transparent: Friday, on Amazon Prime.
