Guess what Hot TV stars are going purple for #SpiritDay

TV Land's 'Hot in Cleveland' stars Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, and Jane Leeves are among the millions that will 'go purple' for Spirit Day on October 17 in a stand against bullying and to show their support for LGBT youth, as first reported by BuzzFeed LGBT. The cast recorded a video for GLAAD speaking out in support of LGBT youth.  Check out the video below: 

The cast is joined by other Spirit day participants including singer Ke$ha, basketball player Jason Collins, actress Laverne Cox, country star Kacey Musgraves, TV star Nate Berkus, fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, singer Betty Who, TV star Aviva Drescher, and a whole lot more. Spirit Day, which will be on October 17 this year, is a united stand against bullying and show of support for LGBT teens and young adults everywhere. Participants can get into the spirit by

  • Wearing purple on the 17th
  • Spreading the word through social media, using #SpiritDay, and turning their profile pictures and websites purple
  • Downloading the Spirit Day App
  • Educating your friends and family about bullying and the LGBT community
  • Getting your school, GSA, organization, etc. to become a Spirit Day partner
