Glee's Grant Gustin is "done with Chick-fil-a"

Grant Gustin who plays openly gay student Sebastian Smythe on Glee took to Twitter to share his discontent with Chick-fil-a’s anti-gay stance.  The actor and LGBT-ally told his followers he would no longer be eating at the fast food chain.

 

In 2010, the company donated $2 million dollars to anti-LGBT organizations, including Exodus International, the National Christian Foundation, the Family Research Council, and the Marriage and Family Foundation. Last week Chick-fil-a COO Dan Cathy openly stated that he does not support marriage equality for gay and lesbian couples.

It’s not the first time Gustin showed his support of the LGBT community.  Last April he took the stage at the GLAAD Media Awards along with fellow Glee actor Max Adler, who also plays an openly gay student on the popular Fox comedy, and introduced the Rodemeyer family whose son and brother Jamey died by suicide last September.

 

People around the country are joining Grant Gustin and speaking out against Chick-fil-a by protesting openings and staging kiss-ins among other things, here are some of the actions already in place:
