The GLAAD Wrap: Sam Smith, Adam Lambert release new music videos; 'The Outs' second season announced

Every week, The GLAAD Wrap brings you LGBT-related entertainment news highlights, fresh stuff to watch out for, and fun diversions to help you kick off the weekend.

1) Opening in limited release today is Big Stone Gap. Set in the 1970s, it follows self-proclaimed "old maid" Ave Maria Mulligan (Ashley Judd) whose life is turned upside-down after a family secret is revealed. It also features John Benjamin Hickey as Ave Maria's best friend. Check out the trailer below.

2) Out singer Sam Smith has released the video for "Writing's on the Wall," the theme song for the new James Bond film, Spectre. The song has already hit Number One in the UK. Watch it below.

3) Trudie Styler is set to produce and direct the film adaption of James St. James's Freak Show. The film, which is expected to start production this month, already has Bette Midler, Lorraine Toussaint, and AnnaSophia Robb attached. The book is about Billy Bloom, a cross-dressing teen, who refuses to change when he transfers to an ultra-conservative high school – instead he runs for Homecoming Queen.

4) Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge of The Fabulous Beekman Boys are launching their own magazine, The Beekman 1802 Almanac. The magazine is a modern twist on The Old Farmer's Almanac, and the fall/winter issue is available now.

5) Vimeo has announced season 2 of The Outs will debut this winter. The online comedy follows a group of young gay men and their friends, with the new season picking up three years after the first season left off. It stars Hunter Canning, Sasha Winters, and Adam Goldman.

6) Adam Lambert's new music video for "Another Lonely Night" was released today. It is the second single from The Original High. Watch the video below.

7) Just in time for National Coming Out Day on October 11, Please Like Me star Josh Thomas shared behind the scenes interviews from himself and the cast about his own coming out. Watch the exclusive below.
