GLAAD partners with Outfest to show 'Saturday Church' at Outfest LA 2017

GLAAD is proud to be a community collaborator again this year at Outfest, the premiere Los Angeles LGBTQ+ film festival! This year, GLAAD is collaborating with Outfest to screen the film Saturday Church (dir. Damon Cardasis).

Saturday Church is the latest film from debuting director and writer Damon Cardasis, who was previously a producer for Maggie’s Plan (dir. Rebecca Miller). The film is a coming of age story centered on Ulysses (Luka Kain), a Bronx teen who finds refuge at a welcoming church in the West Village where "vogueing is more important than any sermon." Saturday Church is a mini-musical that uses music and dance to follow Ulysses’ exploration of his own sexuality and gender identity. The screening of Saturday Church will take place on July 8th at 9:30 p.m. at the Director’s Guild of America in Los Angeles. RSVP to the Facebook event for the screening here!
