FIRST LOOK: Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski reunite on "Night Court"

Night Court, a reboot of the beloved 80s sitcom, has an all new cast of characters including the unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone played by Melissa Rauch as she presides over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to its crew of oddballs and cynics, most notably former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding played by John Larroquette. Night Court is breaking records. The premiere episode received 7.4 million viewers which is the highest total viewers for any comedy premiere since 2018.

On Tuesday, February 21st, out Olympic figure skater and media personality Johnny Weir joins the cast for a guest appearance with skating partner, co-commentator, and best friend Tara Lipinski.

Prosecutor Dan Fielding approaches the two, sitting in the stands of the courtroom. “I just want to say I have a great deal of respect for Olympic athletes. Your ability to work only once every four years... incredible!” He says.

“Now this is a man with presence,” Lipinski says as if she were a commentator at a figure skating competition.

“Well, he’s known as the bad boy of the court room for a reason. The passion, the fire, the pageantry,” Weir continues in the same manner. “You know we live for pageantry,” the two say in unison.

Lipinski explains that they’re there because the bailiff wanted to introduce them to their friend. Lipinski then says, “If we stayed every time a bailiff asked us to meet someone, we’d never have time to form this remarkable friendship.”
