
Ellen DeGeneres today on her talk show thanked President Obama for his support of marriage equality. Ellen, who married Portia de Rossi in 2008, has been a strong voice for marriage equality in recent years. She invited Portia on her show to announce their engagement but also discuss their married life, sharing with American audiences across the country their love and happiness.
“There have been moments in history when someone has had the courage to stand up for what they believe in and that one action changes everything and I hope this is one of those times," she said to her cheering audience. "It takes a brave man to take a stand like this, especially in an election year so mister President to you I say thank you very, very, very much." Watch the video below.
