Comcast celebrates pride month with LGBT media highlights from Wilson Cruz, and free Here TV content!

Comcast has announced the redesign of its LGBT web portal in celebration of LGBT Pride Month, which will feature a curated collection of LGBT-themed TV and movie selections as well as original entertainment, behind the scenes interviews and news. Some of that content will also be chosen by GLAAD's own National Spokesman Wilson Cruz, who will step in as a guest curator.  Along with the redesign, Comcast will also provide its Xfinity TV subscribers free access to HERE TV, a television network targeting LGBT audiences, via On Demand June 10 – 16.

The Xfinity.com/LGBT highlights to look out for during the month include a weekly "LGBT What to Watch Guide," newly curated selections such as LGBT Teen, behind the scenes set visits with shows like The Fosters and White Collar. “Comcast is proud to offer a variety of destinations, programming and experiences uniquely designed for the LGBT community,” said Marcien Jenckes, Executive Vice President, Consumer Services, Comcast Cable.

This is the second year in a row that Xfinity has partnered with HERE TV to offer a week-long freeview of the network's award-winning LGBT programming. Original HERE TV series such as A World of Dreams: Voice from the OUT100 and From Here on OUT will be available to Xfinity TV subscribers nationwide via the Xfinity On Demand menu.
