Caitlyn Jenner's 'I Am Cait' renewed for second season on E!

Last week, E! announced that Caitlyn Jenner's docu-series, I Am Cait, will be renewed for a second season. The first season of I Am Cait aired this past summer with eight episodes featuring Jenner and her relationships with family members, and with other trans women whose experiences differ greatly from her own. Jenner tweeted in response to the announcement, "I'm looking forward to continuing the conversation."

Jeff Olde, E!'s executive vice president of development and programming, said in a statement, "Caitlyn’s story has ignited a global conversation on the transgender community on a scale that has never been seen before. We are honored Caitlyn has chosen to continue to share her ongoing story with our viewers around the world."

This year, GLAAD has worked with E! to ensure that the network is fully trained on transgender terminology and issues so that the network could respectfully and accurately help Caitlyn Jenner tell her own story. We've conducted seven transgender competency trainings for their employees based here in the U.S. and in countries around the world. GLAAD's CEO and President, Sarah Kate Ellis, and GLAAD's Director of Transgender Media, Nick Adams, have appeared on I Am Cait. GLAAD's Board co-chair Jenny Boylan is a consultant on I Am Cait and appears in several episodes.
