In Praise of LGBTQ Youth

Everyday I enter into a place
Without knowing
I don't have many exceptions
Though I'm forever changed
I move around without sight
Blinded by their futures
Hoping they see their light
Reflected through me
Only in "their" future
Will my change be revealed
Young heroes and sheroes
Showing dreams to dream
Light, love and laughter
They created it
The future of my very existence
Is held and seen only in their eyes
Their undying and shameless love
Never says goodbye
They are who saved me
They are my family.
They are me.
They are we.
