Sharon Pollack, Chief Financial and Administration Officer

Sharon joined GLAAD in June 2017 as our first Chief Financial and Administration Officer (CFAO.)  In that capacity she oversees all of GLAAD’S financial, human resources, facilities and legal functions.

She brings more than two decades of management experience in large and small non-profit organizations focusing on human rights, poverty alleviation, international exchange, and community service. In the past she held senior leadership positions at Repair the World, Trickle Up, Outright Action International, and the International YMCA. She is devoted to helping organizations develop their internal capacity through active planning and management systems, and helping staff and board members to develop a shared sense of fundamental economic drivers. She began her career as an Americorps/VISTA volunteer, providing technical assistance to community-based arts organizations in New York City.

Sharon attended the Robert Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. She and her wife, and their three college-aged children live in Montclair, NJ where they are actively engaged in local community organizations.
