Carrie-Rachel Dean - Events Manager

Carrie Rachel Dean is Events Manager at GLAAD.  Her primary focus is smaller, community-based events, enabling her to work very closely with GLAAD Leadership Councils and other key supporters all over the country.  She also assists with the GLAAD Media Awards and the San Francisco & Atlanta Galas.

Prior to joining GLAAD, she worked as a consultant in the non-profit arena planning events of various scope and size for clients in New York and South Carolina, including the GLAAD Southern Stories Bus Tour in 2015.  Former clients include Tuesday’s Children, East Harlem Tutorial Program, Jewish Home & Hospital, Helen Keller International, Gilda’s Club Worldwide and Darfur Action Group of South Carolina.  Carrie Rachel is also a talented performer and enjoys utilizing her skills in a variety of settings, from church, community theatre, and singing the National Anthem for Mets baseball games to her web series, The Residuals, and cabarets in the West Village.

A native of South Carolina, Carrie Rachel earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Clemson University and can still be found - dressed head-to-toe in orange and purple - on Autumn Saturdays cheering on her National Champion Clemson Tiger football team.
