Major League Baseball's RBI Institute hosts a Discussion on LGBT Inclusion and Homophobia in Youth Sports

Major League Baseball hosted Darnell Moore, Aaron McQuade, and Wade Davis, Jr. at a recent conference for their Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities Program. The conference included a session discussing the current atmosphere faced by LGBT youth in school and sports nationwide and the role coaches can play in fostering an inclusive environment for LGBT athletes.

Former pro football player Wade Davis publicly announced yesterday that he is gay. The 34-year-old cornerback who played with Tennessee Titans, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Washington Redskins spoke with Outsports and SB Nation about being a gay athlete and his current work with disenfranchised lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, questioning, and non-conforming youth.
