In addition to attending an event in honor of the Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20, GLAAD encourages transgender individuals, as well as families, friends, and allies to help raise awareness about this important day through social media.
On Sunday, November 20, the West Hollywood Transgender Advisory Board will be hosting an event to commemorate the 13th Transgender Day of Remembrance from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the West Hollywood/Los Angeles area. The theme of the event is "We Are The Change" and will feature a number of guest speakers and performers.

In observance of the 13th annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, New York City's LGBT Community Center will hold an event on November 18 coordinated by the Gender Identity Project (GIP) at the Center and it is being co-sponsored by GLAAD.
