The Sundance Channel , which has a strong history of diverse portrayals of LGBT people, just announced its slate of scripted series currently in development and includes T, the story of a young transgender man named Terrence who recently underwent gender reassignment surgery.
Tonight the Sundance Channel will introduce audiences to Push Girls, a new reality series following five women living with paralysis. Though all five are wheelchair bound, the show demonstrates their lives are just as full and complicated as anyone’s, and includes a woman named Tiphany who dates both men and women.
On Thursday, October 20, the Sundance Channel’s employees will participate in Spirit Day and show support for LGBT youth by wearing purple. The channel has also committed to turning its on-air logo purple for the entire day along with all of its social media logos.
