According to local news reports and the New York City Anti-Violence Project, an LGBT-identified person was chased and shot at while walking with a friend in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn on Saturday.

The National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs released its report yesterday of Intimate Partner Violence in LGBTQ, and HIV-Affected Communities in the United States in 2012. The timing of the report could not have been better, with today being The United Nation's sponsored "International Day of Non-Violence".
