MTV today launched the "Look Different" campaign – a multiyear combination of on-air and digital content plus the power of social media – to give youth the tools and the forum to discuss hidden racial, gender and LGBT inequality in society.
MTV has been one of the biggest supporters of Spirit Day this year, spreading the message of tolerance. The network and tons of its top musical and entertainment icons have gone purple in a show of solidarity with its young LGBT fans, letting them know that they are not alone.
Viacom networks BET, CMT, Logo, MTV, TeenNick, TV Land and VH1 are going purple once again this Thursday, October 17 for #SpiritDay in a stand against bullying and to show their support for LGBT youth.
