Jason Pickel married his longtime boyfriend, Darren Black Bear, in Oklahoma this weekend. The marriage took place on tribal land with the blessing of both the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes.

New Jersey couple Shannon Connors and Sandy Stones, who were featured on the from the front page of the NY times when marriage equality New York was passed, were married over the weekend with a marriage license from their home state of New Jersey.

Illinois marches on Springfield for marriage equality
The March on Springfield for Marriage Equality will take place on October 22, the scheduled first day of the fall veto session of the Illinois State Legislature. The "March on Springfield" is part of a broad grassroots strategy to secure final passage of Illinois Senate Bill 10, the "Religious Freedom and Marriage Fairness Act."
NJ marriages begin on Monday
The New Jersey Supreme Court has said the state will start issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, with the first marriages on Monday, even before the court issues a definitive ruling. Even Senator-elect Corey Booker has said that he will officiate at weddings on Monday.
